This bowl of sin is full of everything that I love and that my body doesn’t 😉 I am no expert chef, but I sure am a big fan of food and love experimenting. So i mixed up a recipe from here, a recipe from there and conjured something so chocolatey that the chocolate lover in you will be on fire.
Ingredients
- Unsalted cooking butter
- Oreo choco creme biscuits (For the base)
- Oreo vanilla creme biscuits
- Cocoa powder
- Vanilla essence
- Sugar
- Cooking chocolate
- Heavy cream
- Milk
Disclaimer: Like I said am no expert chef and hence don’t use any particular measurements. So you’re on your own in that.
Method
- Crush the Oreo vanilla creme biscuits in a blender or a food processor into fine crumbs and keep aside
- Crush the Oreo choco creme biscuits in a blender or a food processor into fine crumbs
- Melt the unsalted butter and mix it well with crushed Oreo crumbs
- Add this mixture to a bowl(s) (any shape of your choice; My preference is rectangular or circular) and press it tight to the base of the bowl and the sides evenly
- Put this bowl(s) in the fridge (Please don’t freeze it! I made that mistake and i could use that base for self defence) for about 20 minutes
- While the base is firming up heat the cream, milk and cocoa powder in a pan, add sugar to taste and mix well
- Mix the powder of the vanilla creme Oreo
- Pour this chocolate cream into the bowl over the base and refrigerate
- Now heat cream, milk and cooking chocolate (I actually used Diary milk chocolate) until the chocolate melts and blends well
- Add in the powdered vanilla creme Oreo biscuits and pour a thick layer over the two layered bliss and put it back in the fridge
- Let this set for about 4 hours or over night
Cosmetic suggestions
- You can add droplets of cream on the top layer of chocolate and make patterns for decorations before the chocolate sets
- I cut and added strawberries for top layer decor. It adds to the look and tastes delicious
- You can also sprinkle chocolate shavings for decor
